Modular Liquid Cooling for AI is a product, not a room

AI racks climb into densification that air-cooled rooms were never designed to hold. The useful response is not another custom hall. It is a standard Liquid Cooling block you order as a product: a prefabricated, factory-tested container that already integrates the envelope systems you would otherwise discover on site.

That vocabulary matters. MDCX does not sell GPUs. The customer brings the servers. L1240C45 is the empty-pad Liquid Cooling block: 1,240 kW IT, up to 150 kW/rack (R150), single warm-water loop, with UPS and battery integrated in the container. On site you connect utility, water, and network — not a second power-distribution project inside the box.

L1800C45: UPS outside, more IT in the same footprint

L1800C45 is the density ceiling of the Liquid Cooling line in that same 45 ft High Cube: 1,800 kW IT, up to 220 kW/rack (R220), dual loop, with UPS left outside because the pad already paid for distribution. Omitting UPS is intentional — the site should not buy power twice.

Decision rule: no yard power plant yet → L1240C45. UPS / PDC already on the pad → L1800C45.

Immersion aside (secondary only): PCIe fleets may prefer Immersion Cooling rather than cold-plate Liquid. That is a form-factor fork, not the empty-pad lead story on this page.

What “90 days EXW” actually means

Operators mid-RFP usually need a sentence they can defend in a schedule workshop. Here it is: the MDCX factory clock starts when down payment clears, and it ends when the block is ready ex-works — at the factory gate — not when the first rack is earning on your pad.
